Event description

Description

On this scenic walk we look at the local history, visiting on the way: a bronze age burial site, a roman fort and road, Earby's early development, a corn mill and the old Grammar School.

We start in Earby and walk through the town, then climb up to rectory allotment, down to Elslack, and along the Roman Road to Thornton-in-Craven before returning to Earby.

This is walk 39 of 61 walks in this year's Pendle Walking Festival.
