Description

Along the ridge between the Calder and Sabden Valley's to Noggarth Cafe, returning back through some of Pendle's villages, visiting the grave of a Victoria Cross war hero.

Approximate length of walk: 5 miles

Walk grading: Moderate - walks with gentle slopes and some stiles (1 – 6 miles)

Pace of walk: we will set a gentle pace with regular breaks to catch your breath and enjoy the view.

Approximate amount of ascent: 100 metres

Please wear suitable footwear and clothing for walking. The weather can change rapidly so please bring waterproofs. Please also bring drinking water.

The car park at Forest Inn is free to patrons (we meet in the car park opposite the Inn). If travelling by bus (the Nelson to Wheatley Lane Road Service) there is a 10 minute walk down to the Inn. We will visit the Forest Inn after the walk for refreshments.

We will stop at a cafe for light refreshments during the walk.

Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
