Do I need to be a professional writer to sign up for this?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely not. If you're someone who reads writing out loud, this will help you. It doesn't matter if you're sixteen and presenting at your school, or 45 and reading at an awards ceremony.

Is there an age requirement?

Accepted Answer

Strictly, no. But people under the age of 18 should be aware that this is a space intended for adults, and adult content may be mentioned in passing. Under-13s should be supervised by an adult. And parents, if you want a specifically kid-friendly version, shoot me an email at alexpenname@gmail.com.

Question 3

Is this writing-focused or can I join up for just public speaking advice?

Accepted Answer

This is writing focused, but if you want to practice something new you're still welcome to attend! Bring along a book you like: you can participate with someone else's work just as well as your own.

Question 4

I can't attend. Can I get a refund?

Accepted Answer

Refunds will be automatically processed up to 1 day before the event, but I'm afraid you'll still be charged for Eventbrite fees. However, if you can find a friend willing to pay you and take your place, just email me at alexpenname@gmail.com and I can transfer the ticket to them.
