Aims of the session
To establish a conversation on sustainability and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Link the conversation to what individuals, organizations, and cities can do in relation to sustainability and net-zero.
The interactive session will cover
A brief introduction to the pillars of sustainability and the SDGs. What adjustments/actions would we need to address sustainability and the net-zero emissions transition?
Interactive sessions around specific themes of the above and of interest to stakeholders.

Speaker: Professor AbuBakr Bahaj
Professor AbuBakr Bahaj (FICE, FIET, FRSA, MInstP, CPhys) is a Professor of Sustainable Energy at the University of Southampton. Where he leads the 55-strong Energy & Climate Change Division and the Sustainable Energy Research Group (ECCD). His major research programmes include Renewable Energy, Energy Access, Cities & Infrastructure, Buildings & Communities, and Behaviour & Modelling.
