Event description

Description

People Like Me is a revolutionary approach to engaging girls with careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM). People Like Me uses the natural tendency of girls to articulate their self-identity using adjectives, to show them that people like them are happy and successful working in careers in STEM.

The approach was developed based on the ‘Not for People like Me’ research led and authored by WISE (Women In Science and Engineering) board member Professor Avril MacDonald and sponsored by Network Rail. Find out more.

The session will be lead by the West Midlands STEM Ambassador Hub and will train STEM Ambassadors and Teachers on the People Like Me resources and how they can be used to inspire the next generation of young women to pursue careers in science and engineering.

Refreshments will be available.

A directional map showing the location of the building can be found here.

Please note we'll also be holding a Women in STEM Networking evening following this event which you are also invited to. Free tickets available here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/women-in-stem-networking-event-for-teachers-stem-ambassadors-and-professionals-worcester-tickets-39950344556
