What is it?
A quarterly social gathering to celebrate the work of media and marcomms professionals from minority ethnic backgrounds. Whether you’re a PR, a marketer, journalist or expert in social media, we’d love for you to join us to celebrate ethnically diverse talent in our industries.
Why?
The lack of diversity in our industry is not a new problem, and while we’re here hoping to address it, we want to do a bit more than just that; we want to have fun doing it. At this event, there will be no panel discussions. No bloody white papers. It’s a group of people celebrating excellent work and brilliant voices in our industries.
Where?
This event is hosted in partnership with our friends at multi award-winning agency The Romans at their stunning offices in Shoreditch. The nearest underground station is Old Street (11 minute walk) and overground is Shoreditch High Street (2 minutes walk). You can find information on accessible travel at tfl.gov.uk.

What else?
We’re giving ten individuals the chance to present a recent campaign they’re proud to have worked on… with a slight twist. They’ll have three minutes to shout about it. Three. Whether you’re the Brand Director or Social Media Intern, come and join us to see what People Like Us are made of.
Guests can expect an evening packed with inspiring speakers, drinks, nibbles and great vibes. There will be food and drinks (on us), and also plenty of fun to be had, including an opportunity to freshen up your professional headshot (thank you, Mikael Buck!), stand up comedy and lots more.
Who is this event for?
People Like Us is open to absolutely everyone, no matter your background, ethnicity or experience level. It's a great opportunity to hear about creative campaigns from seriously talented folks. Whether you're a seasoned pro, just starting up or curious about the media/marcomms industries, our door is open.
