People Need People - A series of warm conversations

You are warmly invited to People Need People - a gentle, open-hearted series of three online conversations for anyone curious about how we live, learn and care — together. This is offered as part of the ProSocial World global community of practice for ProSocial practitioners, their guests and anyone interested in joining.

A key part of ProSocial is improving relationships at multiple levels: the relationship we have with ourselves, the relationships we have with others and relationships between groups. This series of workshops is a deep dive into a process for fostering high-quality, warm interpersonal relationships. Although we expect this process will help the Community of Practice members to get to know one another more deeply, and thereby be able to better collaborate with one another in our various projects, we encourage community members to bring a guest because this process is all about relating to each other as humans, not as our professional selves.

Imagine sitting in a virtual room with others from around the globe, swapping thoughts and stories about the world we’re all trying to make sense of. You don’t need to be an expert — just someone willing to listen, reflect and share.

An online version of Nora Bateson’s Warm Data Labs, each People Need People session explores a question through our shared stories and conversations: we wander through the deeper patterns and multiple contexts that shape our lives and relationships.

There’s no pressure to perform, debate or fix anything. Just simple, meaningful conversations that flow — like the chats you wish you had more often, but rarely do.

This is not a workshop or presentation. It’s about slowing down and making space for connection — a meadow of conversation where fresh insights and relationships can quietly take root.

People Need People is a co-created experience that emerges in the beginning, comes alive, and then composts into the social soil at the end. Think of it like a wonderful after-dinner conversation - with people you may or may not have met before. It will not be recorded.

There will be 3 consecutive sessions of 2 hours each (fortnightly) on the following dates, offered at two different time zones:

•⁠ ⁠Session 1: Thursday 17th July (Time zone 2 only) / Friday 18th July (Time Zone 1 only)

•⁠ ⁠Session 2: Thursday 31st July (Timezone 1 & 2)

•⁠ ⁠⁠Session 3: Thursday 14th August (Timezone 1 & 2)

2:30-4:30 am Eastern /

8:30-10:30 am Spain /

12-2:00 pm India /

4:30-6:30 pm Sydney

Timezone 2:

4:30-6:30 pm Eastern /

10:30 pm-00:30 am Spain /

2:00-4:00 am (following day) India /

6:30-8:30 am (following day) Sydney.
