This free training session introduces teachers to the unique archives on people who have banded together to make the world a better place held at the Marx Memorial Library & Workers’ School, with a focus on topics directly relevant to OCR GCSE & A level History.

3:30pm – Welcome & TourExplore our 18th-century building, see rare materials in our archive stores (dating back to the 1640s), and visit Lenin’s office from 1902–3.
4:05pm – Hands-on SourcesGet to grips with original documents and photographs that bring key topics to life:
- Women’s history & the suffragettes
- The struggle against apartheid in South Africa
- The General Strike of 1926
- The Russian Revolution
4:35pm – Subject in Focus: Anti-ApartheidWith guest speaker Rachel King, Associate Professor of Cultural Heritage Studies, UCL.
