Performance Management Conference 2016- Finding the Right Balance

CIPD Guernsey branch is delighted to announce its forthcoming conference targeted at business leaders, people managers and HR professionals striving to make a positive difference in the modern day work environment.
Staff performance is critical to an organisation’s success and the way we work is constantly evolving. Traditional performance management systems have not kept apace or realised their potential. This imbalance is borne out by the recent tide of organisations wanting to change and improve how they approach performance at work.
This conference will explore the reasons for this current disparity, along with some of the latest thinking and alternative approaches. An impressive line up of speakers will help you review performance management practices, consider the latest neuroscience and metrics, and balance out the requirements of both your organisation and your staff.
Aims of the Conference
A specially designed extended morning, providing a mix of learning and interaction from a range of experienced speakers, giving you a chance to:
- Understand the current issues with performance management;
- Review the success of other workplace systems;
- Gain insight into a global firm’s response to performance management;
- Consider some alternative approaches and
- Be inspired to manage your people’s performance to suit your environment and

Please note- Registration starts at 8am with breakfast on arrival. The conference will start promptly at 8:30am. The event will finish at 1pm however, a networking lunch is provided and all attendees are encouraged to stay until 2pm.
Professional photography and video production will be taking place at the event, and these images may be used on future promotional materials for CIPD. Please note that by attending the event, you are giving your consent for your image to be used on any CIPD promotional materials.
How do I pay for an event?
All bookings can only be done via Eventbrite and we are now unable to accept bank transfers or cheques.
What is the refund policy?
A full refund is available if your place is cancelled 48 hours or more beforehand, after that the fee is non-refundable.
Can I make a booking on behalf of a colleague or a group?
Yes, bookings can be made by a ‘buyer’ on behalf of the attendee(s). The buyer can select to receive the event confirmation and any other information or provide the e-mail addresses of those others they are buying the ticket on behalf of.
Where can I contact the organiser with any questions?

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, if you have booked then your name will be in our system.
Are CPD Certificates Available for this event?
CPD Certificates can be provided on request at the time of booking the event.
