Dean Hume is is passionate about web performance and regularly writes articles based on all things software development on his blog at: http://deanhume.com/. His previous speaking engagements include Velocity Conference, Fluent Conf, OSCON, Apps World and UpFront Conference.

Andy Davies

Associate Director – Web Performance, NCC Group

Andy helps clients to understand and improve the performance of their websites. He’s been helping to deliver faster user experiences since the late 1990’s and has a wide range of experience across a number of industries.

Andy wrote The Pocket Guide to Responsive Web Performance and is also the co-author of Using WebPagetest.

Simon Hearne

Senior Performance Expert, NCC Group

Simon splits his time between helping clients improve their web performance and working on projects to help people visualise the impact of slow performance. Simon studied artificial intelligence and web science before joining NCC Group.

Both Andy and Simon are regular speakers at web performance events all over the world, including O'Reilly's Velocity conference.

James Walker - Redspa

Founder and Developer

James graduated with a Masters Degree in Avionic Systems Engineering from Bristol University in 2002. After he left university he worked as a freelance developer. His growing client base led him to set up Redspa in 2010. The business has since grown into a full service digital agency specialising in developing unique solutions for exciting brands, covering everything from brand identity and graphic design through to highly technical e-commerce solutions, mostly covered by their in-house team of developers and designers. Over the past 15 years James has been instrumental in consulting, designing and developing IT systems and websites for a diverse client portfolio, many of which are now instrumental in running multi-million pound businesses.

Brian Hogg - Thomas Cook

Head of Digital Platforms

Brian is the Head of Digital Platforms at Thomas Cook, responsible for building a platform capable of powering all of the company's e-commerce sites across the UK and Europe. With 30 years’ experience in the travel industry, across retail, corporate, consolidators, tour operators and airlines, Brian has seen huge change in the industry and is using his experience to help Thomas Cook keep up with ever changing consumer behaviour in the digital space.
