Aaron Issac

Aaron has had lots of new beginnings and will for sure have many more.

This time he brings his latest set of beginnings in poetic form. These poems try to describe the freedom that comes when we realise that we can begin again whenever we choose and that it's never too late to say "Well. Yesterday is yesterday. This is now... let's make something excellent out of yesterday's trouble".

Originally from Torquay, now rooted in the East Midlands, she writes poetry that explores motherhood, mental health, resilience, and the everyday beauty found in unexpected places.

She holds an MA in Creative Writing, has performed at spoken word nights and festivals across the region. Offstage, she’s led creative writing & drama workshops in schools and community spaces. She always passionate about helping others find and share their voices.

A motorbike rider, home baker, and lifelong storyteller, she’s been called kind, thoughtful, stubborn, and strong—a mix that lives in her poems too.

Her aim is to keep using poetry to explore and address the challenges life throws at us—whether that’s dealing with disabilities, navigating male-dominated spaces, or just the struggles we face day to day.

She’s got a motorbike poetry collection coming out soon, another poetry book in the pipeline, and a potential short story collection on the horizon. She wants her work to spark conversations, open minds, and remind people that no matter the obstacles, they have the strength to overcome them. Debbie would love to continue performing, publishing, and growing her work in community arts, creating spaces where people feel encouraged to explore their own creativity, as well as their voices.

Matthew Vaughan

Matthew is a storyteller, writer, dancer, dog walker and happy family man.

A story synopsis....

~Deep in the ancient, untouched heart of the forest lives the green man. There he cares for the trees, and the birds, and the beasts. The lords and ladies in their castles and mansions, and the wealthy merchants in the towns, they know that the green man is just a story to amuse children. Though his image is carved into the very stone of their churches and cathedrals, they do not believe such nonsense. But the country folk, those whose villages and farms lie closest to the edge of the forest, they know. And when the days grow short and bitter and the ground turns hard, they leave out bowls of food as an offering to him~
