🌟 Performing Arts Project – Empowering Young Migrants Through Creativity 🌟
Join us for an exciting new pilot project designed to inspire, connect, and empower young asylum seekers, refugees, and migrants through the magic of performing arts.
Many young people in our community face isolation, low confidence, and limited access to creative opportunities — yet they carry powerful stories, humour, and untapped creative potential. This project offers a safe, welcoming space to explore self-expression, build confidence, and discover the wide range of opportunities available in the performing arts, both on stage and behind the scenes.
Over two engaging taster workshops, participants will:
🎭 Build confidence and communication skills through fun, interactive activities.
🎤 Explore how to express personality, connect with others, and overcome the fear of failure.
🎬 Discover a variety of career pathways in theatre, film, and media — from acting to stage design, sound, editing, and more.
🎟 Learn about training opportunities, local arts organisations, and ways to get involved.
Who’s it for?
Young asylum seekers, refugees, and migrants (approx. ages 16–35) who want to try something new, meet new people, and explore creative possibilities — no previous experience needed.
Why join?
This is a chance to build confidence, make new friends, and open the door to exciting opportunities in the creative sector. Whether you simply want to have fun or are curious about a future in the arts, this project is for you.
