Do you live local to Meanwood and want to learn how to sew and help others?
Then come along to this monthly drop in sewing workshop and learn a new skill.
Stitch-Up CIC has teamed up with Freedom4Girls to offer a drop in sewing workshop. Help us make washable, reusable period products for the community. Join us for an afternoon of creativity and empowerment!
Freedom4Girls are a UK-registered charity fighting against period poverty. They work to support those who menstraute by challenging the stigmas, taboos and gender inequalities assoicated with menstrauation. They provide education, period products and promote product choice and support enviromentally and financially sustainable options.
Stitch-Up studio is based at Meanwood Community Centre and we run courses, workshops and weekly community craft groups in the area!
No experience is necessary for this workshop, all levels are welcome.
We are really looking forward to welcoming you.
