Overview

Come join us at Permacomputing Club where we explore how to make tech more sustainable. This is an in-person meetup.

Date: Every Monday

Time: 6:30 - 7:30 pm

Location: SET Social

A community gathering dedicated to permacomputing – cultivating resilient, and sustainable approaches to technology. Share your skills, explore regenerative and low-tech computing, and practice hands-on maintenance and repair. This is a space to collaborate and discuss how hardware and software can prioritise adaptability, transparency and care. At a time when harmful tech practices like AI are dominating culture, we want to build a community in opposition to this. This group is not focused on solutionism or necessarily on inventing sustainable or 'greener' technologies. Instead, it serves as a space to discuss, reimagine, and strategise ways to reduce the stranglehold of tech monopolies and pernicious systems. We also hold occasional workshops - you can check those on london.permacomputing.net/#event

Everyone is welcome but we encourage women and non-binary folks to join us. Please bring your own tech, and take a moment to read our principles before joining: permacomputing.net/Principles.
