Join Perranporth Marine Conservation Group and our guest expert, Charlotte Cumming, for our Free September Rockpool Ramble.
We will explore the rockpools at Perranporth beach during low tide to see what we are able to find!
Charlotte is an expert in identifying rockpool life – she’s volunteered for Cornwall Wildlife’s Shoresearch project for several years and is a marine records verifier for the Environmental Records Centre for Cornwall & the Isles of Scilly. Charlotte also won the Marsh Volunteer Award for Marine Conservation in 2023!!
Ben Nesbit - Shoresearch Coordinator Volunteer for Cornwall Wildlife Trust will also be on hand to share his great knowledge of rockpool life.
Please wear shoes suitable for rockpooling such as old trainers or wetsuit boots as the rocks can be slippery. No bare feet please!! If you can, bring a bucket but not nets - as they can damage marine life.
Everyone welcome. All children under 18 MUST be supervised and accompanied by an adult.
Booking essential for children via Eventbrite.
Please meet on the Promenade (in front of Perranporth Beach Car Park) at 9.30am prompt to hear our safety briefing and introduction to rockpooling. We will then walk together across to the rockpools below Droskyn.
