Person Centred Practice 2 Day Training
This course will define person centred practice, and how it fits in with the ALN reforms. Over the course of the two days you will gather information to build a quality one-page profile, thinking about how you know what matters to children and young people, and how you ensure they are kept at the centre of the planning process.
You will also understand the process of a Person Centred Review and how to facilitate one to prioritise the young persons short and long term aspirations.
Developing techniques and skills that keep the child/young person at the centre of any information gathering or planning processes.
Develop skills promoting good person-centred conversations.
Writing Individual Development Plans.
Support to develop person-centred outcomes.
Who should come?
Suitable for those working in sectors such as, health and social care, education and criminal justice,
- Coordinators, senior and middle managers with responsibility for wellbeing
- ALN co’s
- Teachers with pastoral responsibility
- Anyone who has responsibility for contributing to the review process

About the trainer
Accredited by Helen Anderson Associates, Ceri Morgan has a wealth of experience in working with children who have additional learning needs in a residential educational setting, where she has introduced person centered practices. She believes in creating opportunities for young people to participate in, and have influence over, decisions that affect their lives.
