Disclaimer: Eligibility for Participation in the 'Personal Growth' Programme

This 'Personal Growth' programme is a privately funded and a fee-based initiative designed to support individuals in their journey of self-development. Although we are committed to supporting personal growth for all. Please note: due to the financial nature of this programme and in recognition of the vulnerable status of individuals on low incomes, those currently receiving any form of welfare benefits are not eligible to participate.

If it is later found that a participant is in receipt of welfare benefits, the host/organiser will not be held responsible for any consequences that may arise. For example, attending a paid personal development course without prior approval from the Jobcentre or relevant authority can potentially lead to sanctions or suspension of benefits. The other is a 'Breach of Work-Related Conditions': as many benefits come with conditions, such as being available for work or actively seeking employment. Participation in a programme that interferes with these obligations could be seen as a breach on the part of the claimant. Because of these risks, it’s important that claimants consult with their Jobcentre Work Coach before enrolling in any paid programme.

If approved to attend the paid provision by the Jobcentre Work Coach, the course may be allowed under certain conditions or even funded through government schemes. As it is the responsibility of each participant to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria before enrolling on the 'Personal Growth' workshop.

Claimants interested in specific personal development eg. Confidence building, Resilience, or Emotional Well-Being, are encouraged to seek support through charitable organisations or providers affiliated with the Jobcentre, many of whom offer these specific services free of charge.

And in accordance with welfare benefit regulations, participants currently receiving welfare benefits are advised that job-seeking activities or work-related discussions cannot be facilitated by the host/co-ordinator during the 'Personal Growth' session.

This measure is in place to ensure compliance with welfare benefit and government employee guidelines, and to maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all attendees. For assistance in finding alternative resources, please contact your Work Coach/Advisor.
