Target Audience: Front Line Staff and Volunteers
To develop awareness of the risks to personal safety whilst working alone.
Objectives of the course
Participants will learn about:
- Identifying foreseeable risks to personal safety
- Reporting all incidents to your line manager
- The importance of following your organisation’s policy
- Sharing strategies of how to avoid and reduce risks to safety
- Recognising early warning signs
Duncan Wallace is the Learning and Development coordinator at Health in Mind. Duncan worked and lived with people who are homeless in London and Glasgow before moving into staff training and organizational development work where he has worked with many different types of health and social care organisations.
Terms and conditions
This course is in our Shandwick Place training room, which is not accessible for physical disabilities. Please contact us if this affects you and we will relocate the course. The course includes teas, coffee and biscuits but does not include lunch as there are lots of lunch outlet choices just beside us.

If you need to cancel your booking and give more than two weeks’ notice, we will refund your payment in full. If you cancel with less than two weeks’ notice, we will refund 50% of your fee.
