Suffolk SENDIASS is hosting a relaxed online session for parents and carers in Suffolk England, exploring how personalised stories can help children and young people with understanding social norms and expectations, to develop social skills and to manage change.
The presentation will be delivered by specialist teachers from Suffolk's Communication and Interaction Service. This is one of the 5 specialist education services in Suffolk which support schools to support pupils with different special educational needs.
The session will explore:
what a personalised story is;
how it can help your child with understanding social situations in school and at home;
how to create one.
You do not have to use your video or speak in the session if you'd rather not - you can just listen.
