This course will provide an introduction to the concept of personality disorders and perceived personality difficulties, and how best to support people who may experience the difficulties associated with this misunderstood diagnosis.

Course Outcomes and objectives:

  • to be able to describe the meaning and causes of personality disorder
  • to discuss the ways which we can recognise perceived personality difficulties
  • to explore different ways of describing these difficulties
  • learn how to use a formulation tool to better support people and manage our own emotions in our roles.

The course is a half day course online 9.30-1.00pm, including breaks.This course is for people that work and volunteer in North Somerset. Due to funding we are unable to offer the course to anyone outside of this area.

We ask for two working days notice for cancellation, if this notice is not given there will be a £75 admin charge.
