Lund Humphries is pleased to host this special online event to mark the publication of Space Framed by Hugh Campbell.
Each taking a single image included in the book as their focus or point of departure, contributors will make short presentations reflecting on the relationship between photography, architecture and the social landscape. The event will be introduced by commissioning editor Val Rose.
Contributors:
Hugh Campbell, Professor of Architecture, UCD, author of Space Framed.
Mary N. Woods, Professor Emerita, Cornell University, author of Beyond the Architect’s Eye: photographs of the American built environment (2009) and Women Architects in India: Histories of Practice in Mumbai and Delhi (2016).
Mark Pimlott, TU Delft, designer and artist, author of The Public Interior as Idea and Project (2016), In Passing (2010) and Without and Within (2007).
Thomas Struth, artist, Berlin, works include the series Unconscious Places, Museum Photographs, Family Portraits, New Pictures from Paradise, Nature & Politics.
Aisling McCoy, artist and photographer, Dublin, projects include The Radiant City and And live the space of a door.
Jesus Vassallo, architect and writer, Associate Professor, Rice University, author of Seamless: Digital Collage and Dirty Realism in Contemporary Architecture (2017) and Epics in the Everyday (2020).
