Practical Understanding of Autism

The programme takes a three step approach to learning – Theory/Practice/Evaluate, as follows:

This session will begin by exploring autism but more importantly how this may present in individuals, current research and language use and current approaches to support. Moving on to the practice section we will think about the ways individuals can be supported to ensure a positive outcome and then finally we will examine some challenges and potential barriers to implementing strategies and allow a general Q&A discussion around any questions the group may have.

We will use a case study of lived experience to relate the training back to real life situations.
