What age is this event suitable for?

Peter and the Wolf is loved by audiences young and old! We suggest this performance is suited for children from the age of three.

Question 2

Is there an additional charge for the craft activity?

Accepted Answer

No, the craft activity is included in your ticket price. The craft station opens at 10.30am for the morning performance and from 1.30pm for the afternoon performance. The craft station will close when the performance begins.

Question 3

Can I choose my seat?

Accepted Answer

We’ve chosen relaxed seating for this performance so you can choose where you sit. Children are invited to sit at the front of the performance area on mats and cushions and chairs will be available behind this area for their grown-ups. Seats will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Question 4

What time do doors open?

Accepted Answer

Doors will open at 10:20am for the morning performance and 1.20pm for the afternoon performance where children are invited to join us at the craft station to make their own puppet to be part of the storytelling during the performance.

Is the Cathedral wheelchair accessible?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we have a step free entrance and an accessible toilet. Please contact hello@chelmsfordcathedral.org.uk with your ticket reference once you have booked a ticket to reserve a seat.

Are there baby changing facilities?

Baby changing facilities are available in the ladies toilets and the accessible toilet.

Will there be refreshments available?

Tea, coffee and soft drinks will be available to purchase from our pop-up café.

Does the Cathedral have a car park?

Accepted Answer

The Cathedral does not have its own car park but there are a number of public car parks within a few minutes walking distance. You can find out more about parking in Chelmsford city centre here, Car parks (chelmsford.gov.uk)

Can I bring a pram or pushchair?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We will need to keep the performance area clear but there will be a buggy park available in the Cathedral building to safely store your pram or pushchair.

Question 10

How loud will it be?

Accepted Answer

The Cathedral organ is a powerful instrument so it might be a bit loud at certain points of the performance. You are very welcome to move around the Cathedral building to find a place to watch and listen that you feel comfortable with.
