Peter Bullimore Paranoia Training
Overview
Workshop where participants will gain an understanding of useful ways to support a person who experiences paranoia and/or unusual beliefs.
This powerful and engaging workshop, led by international trainers and mental health advocates Peter Bullimore and Shaun Hunt, will explore the experience of paranoia from a lived experience perspective. Drawing on their own journeys through extreme paranoia and recovery, Peter and Shaun will offer practical insights into understanding the roots of paranoid thinking, its links to trauma, and how to work compassionately and effectively with those affected. The workshop combines personal narrative, interactive discussion, and the Maastricht Interview approach, equipping participants with tools to support recovery and connection.

Through a combination of presentations, experiential learning, and case studies, attendees gain practical skills to support individuals in navigating their experiences. The workshop fosters an environment of empathy and empowerment, challenging traditional psychiatric models and promoting a more person-centered approach to mental health.
This training is particularly beneficial for mental health professionals, peer supporters, and anyone interested in alternative perspectives on psychosis and recovery. By the end of the workshop, participants are equipped with tools and insights to better assist those they support in finding meaning and resilience in their experiences.
