ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Peter Ross is an Orwell journalism fellow. His writing has appeared in national newspapers and magazines in the UK and US. He won the non fiction prize at Scotland's National Book Awards with A Tomb With A View: The Stories & Glories of Graveyards, and Steeple Chasing, was a Sunday Times bestseller and was selected as Waterstones Non-Fiction Book of the Month. He is also author of the collections Daunderlust and The Passion Of Harry Bingo. Peter lives in Glasgow.

ABOUT THE HOST

Jeff Thomson is a journalist with a passion for literature and theatre. His column From the Stage appears weekly in the Surrey Advertiser and is currently in its eighth year.

Educated in Guildford a varied career has taken him to Namibia, India, Gibraltar, Morocco, Turkey and Germany.

For four years he worked in support of Sam Wanamaker to establish Shakespear’s Globe on Thameside by editing the international newsletter Cuesheet.

For six years he was a committee member of the developing Guildford Book Festival.

This event will take place in the Glass Pavilion.

There isfree on-site parking for up to 100 cars.

Facilities include WCs, full disabled access and a baby-changing unit.
