Peterborough Cathedral Tweetup Tour
Wed 21 June 2017, 13:00 – 17:00 BST
Less than an hour from London, Peterborough Cathedral is one of Britain's most complete Anglo-Norman great churches. This afternoon of informal exploration offers a review of Peterborough Cathedral's architectural and political history from its origins as an abbey in the mid seventh century to its refoundation as Peterborough Cathedral nine hundred years later. Includes new research for a forthcoming Scala book. Expect to squint at much symbolism. Bring a camera and share pictures on social media. The ticket price includes a donation to the cathedral and a half-time cuppa.
Meet under the Cathedral Gate (on to Cathedral Square) for a 1.00 start.
