Peterloo 2019: Cultural Organisations Network Meeting
Thu 11 May 2017, 13:00 – 15:00 BST
In 2019, the 200th anniversary of the Peterloo Massacre will be taking place remembering when cavalry charged to disperse a crowd of 60,000 - 80,000 people in St Peter's Field, Manchester where people had gathered to demand voting reform and improved economic conditions for working people, and the attempt to break up the meeting led to the death of 15 people and injuries to over 600.
Save the date for the third Peterloo 2019: Cultural Organisations Network Meeting to continue discussing ideas, partnerships and for Manchester Histories to update you of plans leading up to the commemorations in Greater Manchester.
Further information to follow soon, but to help us prepare - if you plan on attending please book here.
