What age is the event aimed at?

We have aimed our content at children of a primary school age. However, anyone is welcome to join.

Who is the Pet Education Partnership?

The Pet Education Partnership (PEP) is a collaboration between eight of the leading animal welfare charities in the UK: Blue Cross, Cats Protection, Dogs Trust, PDSA, RSPCA, SSPCA, USPCA and Woodgreen.

Question 4

What materials will I need for the event?

The event will be interactive so we would like learners to have whiteboards (in pairs or individually).  If this is not possible, paper and a pen would be a great alternative. The learners will be asked questions throughout the session, but these will need to be submitted via the chat by an adult.

What safeguarding measures do you have in place for the event?

All 8 charities in PEP take safeguarding very seriously. We will ensure that no children will be seen or heard during the event by muting all microphones and disabling all cameras. Attendees will only be able to see our hosts and all communication is between the educator and PEP through the chat box

Is there a follow up activity for this event?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We would like to encourage classes to follow the event with an art lesson, where children are given the opportunity to make their own enrichment toy for pets from recycled materials. You can find lots of free guides on our website: https://peteducationpartnership.org/

When signing up for your free ticket, you will be given the choice of the following times:
Thursday 3rd October 1pm-2pm
Friday 4th October 1pm-2pm

All tickets are free! Our aim is to make animal welfare education available and accessible for every child in the UK.

My child is home educated, can we still join the event?

Accepted Answer

Yes, of course! Anyone is welcome to join our event. All we ask is that an adult provides the learner's answers on their behalf through the chat box.
