PGCE Open Afternoon/Evening
Wednesday September 28th 2016. Arrive 1pm for Secondary Teaching Observation, arrive 4.45pm for talks.
If you're considering a PGCE course for 2017 then come to this open event at the University of Roehampton, one of the UK's leading and longest-running providers of teacher training. The event is aimed at future primary and secondary teachers alike; a general teacher training talk will start at 5pm in Chapman Hall, Queens Building, and then the audience will split into primary and secondary groups for more bespoke presentations, discussion and a Q&A session. There will be the chance to chat informally with staff and other prospective students over a glass of wine after the talks. The event will end at 7pm.
Please arrive by 4.45pm at the latest at the main university entrance on Roehampton Lane, from where you will be directed to The Queens Building for the talk in Chapman Hall.
Prospective secondary school teachers are also invited to come and observe subject teaching sessions in the afternoon before the talks, to see at first hand how we train teachers at Roehampton. We will write to you with details of how to attend these sessions if you select 'secondary' as your course of interest when registering. PLEASE NOTE WE ARE UNABLE TO OFFER A DRAMA OBSERVATION SESSION ON THIS OCCASION.
