Are you interested in becoming a School Teacher?

This taster evening is suited to anyone who is considering training to become a either a Primary Teacher, or a Secondary Teacher in the following subjects; Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science/ICT, Design & Technology (Food), English, Economics with Business, Geography, History, Mathematics, Modern Languages, Religious Education, Physical Education, Physics, or Psychology.

The evening will begin with a presentation outlining the programme. You will then be able to take part in a short subject related activity and meet with subject tutors who teach on the programme. The evening is aimed at people who have a 2.2 degree or above or anyone who is in the final year of their degree.

• 5pm - arrive at main reception - St Johns Campus
• 5.05pm - introduction to the PGCE Teacher Training programme including the application process.
• 5.40pm - Subject related activity. You will be able to experience the sort of activities you will encounter on the PGCE programme.
• 6.15pm - Question and answer session with a subject tutor.
• 6.30pm - Close
