About this event

With the arrival of the ECF, and an ever-growing focus on teachers’ continued development, there is a huge emphasis on mentoring as the key to facilitating the professional growth of teachers. However, many teachers are made mentors without the training that focuses on what mentoring is and how to get the most out of a mentoring relationship.

To support this crucial element of teacher education and development, we offer a credit-bearing course that enables those who mentor to examine their own, and others’ mentoring practices, and develop their professional skills, confidence and knowledge. This will support them to make informed decisions that strengthen their mentoring relationships and benefit both themselves and their mentee.

The PGCert Mentoring and Coaching Teachers course is:

  • blended, offering face-to-face and online study over 18 months
  • credit-bearing and solely focusses on the mentoring and coaching of teachers
  • taught by teacher educators, passionate about professional development

This information session will be hosted by Stef Sullivan, Director of ITE and Course Leader for the PGCert Mentoring and Coaching Teachers. She will discuss the course in more detail and be happy to answer any questions you may have, please feel free to submit any questions in advance when you register, or you will have the opportunity to ask during the event.

We will send a link to join on the day of the event.
