Professional Development Workshop and Networking Lunch
When? Wednesday 10 December 10am-1pm
Where? In-person at The Knowledge Exchange, Leeds Beckett University
What? What would you like to research, why, when, and how, and what could the potential impact(s) of that research be? In this interactive workshop, there will be opportunities for you to develop your research networks and for us to work together to:
- explore how you can develop ‘a golden thread’ for your research activities;
- examine challenges that you might face in developing your professional profile as a researcher; and
- identify strategies that you could use in response.
Throughout the session, we will draw on case study examples and creative methods* to explore your professional development as a researcher to date, and your future plans.
(*In preparation for the workshop, please bring with you to the session an object (or objects!) that you believe represent(s) your own professional development journey to date, and be ready to discuss what you’ve chosen and why with others in the group.)
