Description

DOES YOUR RESEARCH HAVE IMPACT?

A one-day conference for post-graduate students to discuss thoughts and case-studies surrounding impact - organized by postgraduate research students. Everyone welcome!

FREE for Roehampton Students
£10 for Non-Roehampton Students (payable on the day of the event)

If there is one thing that all researchers have in common it is this: your work needs to have ‘impact’. The need to achieve impact applies to all academic disciplines and university departments, raising issues that every researcher needs to consider: What does ‘impact’ mean? How can you achieve it? And whether you are writing your project proposal, finalising your thesis or submitting a paper, impact is a key issue that will be used to evaluate your research.

We have an exciting line up of keynote speakers, student oral, poster presentation and Q&A discussion panels.

Keynote speakers:

Dr Richard A Keogh: Research Impact and its implications: finding an approach that works

Prof Aisha K Gill: Translating research impact beyond the academy

Prof Stephen Curry: What is the most impactful form of impact?

Free lunch provided and a wine reception will conclude the day’s events. Free for UoR students, £10 for non-UoR students
