Do you want to develop your skills to be able to support your child with Phonics? Would you like to be able to help your child understand and use phonemes, graphemes, digraphs and much more? Then join us for as few or as many of thesesessions as you like. Each session is delivered online using Microsoft Teams. During the session, you will take part in online activities and receive information for independent learning. If you are unsure which phase to join, then please get in touch at familylearning@blackburn.gov.uk or start with phase 1.

In this session, you will learn how to:

• Identify the meaning of the term Split digraphs and ‘Trick Words’ or ‘Alien Words’
• Explore the strategies used to teach children about split digraphs
• Participate in a game about ‘Tricky Words’ / ‘Alien Words’

This session will be delivered on Microsoft Teams.

• Once booked, you will receive a confirmation email
• The day before the session will be taking place, the tutor will send you the Microsoft Teams link to your email address
