Come along for an afternoon of information sessions, refreshments and informal networking with academic staff, admissions tutors and current students. Whether you are looking to find out more about PhD study in Physics and Astronomy generally or would like to find out more about opportunities for work with our four research centres, this event will have something for you.
This event is in two parts:
The first half (12.30-1.30) is aimed at undergraduate students looking to find out more about PhD study generally, and will cover the difference between study at the two levels, why you might consider studying for a PhD and how to apply. The second half will cater for those who already intend to apply and would like more information about specific research in the School and what opportunities for PhD research exist in those areas.
The two halves are interspersed with an informal lunch and opportunities to chat with School academics.
Attendees are very welcome to attend both halves as well as the lunch if they feel it would be beneficial.
This event is free of charge but places are limited. Please book a place online to avoid disappointment.
