Description

The UK Collaborative Centre for Housing Evidence (CaCHE), in collaboration with the White Rose Doctoral Training Partnership, is pleased to announce the details for the 2019 PhD Summer School. This will be an opportunity to hear about some of the latest housing research and policy developments, spend time talking about your work with peers, help to develop skills to have greater impact through your PhD and to start thinking about careers beyond your PhD.

Who should attend?

This summer school is open to all current PhD students who are studying in a housing-related field. You can be at any stage of your PhD.

Day One

12:00-13:00 - Arrive and lunch

13:00-13:15 - Welcome and Introduction - Dr Gareth Young, Knowledge Exchange and Impact Fellow, CaCHE

13:15-15:15 - Session One – Housing talks:

  • Changing Tenure Trends - Dr Tom Moore, CaCHE

  • One-year into Homes England’s Strategic Plan - Brian Robson, Homes England

15:15-15:30 - Break

15:30-17:00 - Session Two – PhD Student Presentations (break-out groups)

17:00 - Wrap-up and close Tom Moore

19:00 - Dinner (optional) – with a welcome address from Professor Ken Gibb, CaCHE Director
