How can your research lead to you building your own company? Hear from a technical founder about how starting a startup can be a great career path for a PhD. The evening is a great opportunity to meet other academics interested in maximising the impact of their research through commercialisation. You may just find your co-founder!
Our speaker this meetup is Jamie Graves. Jamie holds a PhD in Digital Forensics and has cofounded ZoneFox and Inquistive Systems. He co-founded ZoneFox with Prof Bill Buchanan as a successful spin-out from Edinburgh Napier University, where they invented the background technology. Jamie currently leads ZoneFox and presents around the world on the subject of information security, and enterprise security risk.
Join us on the 12th October at 7pm for pizza and drinks and interesting discussion.
Please feel free to bring along anyone you think may be interested.
