Description

The directors PHI and Health Scotland have commissioned this programme to help support managers. Specifically, it is to help you prepare for and lead the successful change to the new Public Health Body. To do that the programme with help managers to help themselves and in turn support their teams.

The workshop is an activity based one. All participants will get resources so that they can run their own sessions back at work.

  • Managers improving capability and confidence to support their staff members through change.
  • Managers’ increasing confidence to facilitate their own change journey
  • Manager better able to handle staff questions during change
  • Staff members feeling more supported during change
  • Staff members completing tasks in the same or less time
  • Quicker embedding of future changes

Training aim

To build participants’ capability in leading successful change to achieve improved results.

Training objectives

By the end of the programme, you will be able to:

  1. Appreciate John Kotter’s 8-stage change process
  2. Describe, in a group setting, the main elements of, “The Path of the Everyday Hero” change model
  3. Apply the two featured change models to a change scenario with minimal assistance from the facilitator
  4. Appreciate resilience as an ability to be developed
  5. State two important reasons for concentrating on what people can control and influence during change
  6. Use the SCARF neuroscience model to describe at least four practical things that you can do to help colleagues manage change
  7. Respond effectively to colleagues’ questions following the ROBERTSON seven guiding principles
  8. Commit to your leading successful change action plan.
