Fri 12 May 2017, 19:30 – 22:30 BST
Out of the Ordinary - a unique tour of music in magical places.
An absolute treat for discerning music lovers in Liverpool. Hilary Harper is delighted to introduce to the city, the winners of 2014's BBC Radio Two Folk Award for Best Duo.
The alchemy of Martin's ever evocative songwriting, fiddle and banjo playing and the much extolled skills of Henry on dobro, harmonica and lap steel fuse into a wholly distinctive world sound.
Their latest studio album, Watershed has received critical acclaim and further places the duo in the higher echelons of the roots genre.
The Williamson Tunnels are a labyrinth of tunnels in the Edge Hill area of Liverpool, which were built under the direction of the eccentric businessman Joseph Williamson between 1810 and 1840. The fascinating brck arches provide the most amazing acoustics, so are a fitting venue for this wonderful duo.
