Event description

Description

On Wednesday, 30th August, we would like to welcome you to the luxurious Sanctum Soho Hotel, for a intimate VIP afternoon with former England cricket star, I'm a Celebrity King of the Jungle & TV/radio pundit Phill 'Tuffers' Tufnell. This exclusive event, with only 55 places available for sale, will include a fine dining 2 course lunch in the boutique hotel restaurant followed by a chat-show style interview with Phil in our unique cinema room, incorporating video footage production.

The afternoon will start at 12:00 with an exclusive meet and greet with Tuffers in the hotel bar, where ticket holders can have a show pre-drink and have photographs taken. At 12:30, lunch will be served and guests will enjoy a delicious hand-crafted 2 course menu, devised by the hotel's in-house TV chef James Cathcart. Between courses, you will have the opportunity for Q and A with Phil and we will also be fundraising for the Breds Foundation with the opportunity to win some simply amazing prizes.

You will then be led to our cinema room, ready for the start of our chat show production, which will commence at 15:00.

PHILLIP TUFNELL

Having made 42 test match appearances for England it would be fair to assume that Tuffers would be known mainly for his cricketing skills but since his retirement in 2002 Phil has embarked on a successful career away from the field, most notably being crowned King of the Jungle just a year later. This success laid the foundation for a host of TV work including his current position as a regular team captain on BBC's Question of Sport.

Tuffers has also been involved in book publishing and is a regular on BBC Test Match Specials cricket coverage. A true character his mischievous nature is plain to see whether on screen or off.

THE SANCTUM SOHO HOTEL

Converted from 2 grand Victorian townhouses, this trendy boutique hotel, conveniently located 4 minutes on foot from Piccadilly Circus, is Soho's premier boutique hotel - the home of rock and roll and sophisticated design.

Encompassing the spirit of the hotel, Remix is a stylish restaurant and bar. The cinema/screening room, located on the ground floor of the hotel, is a mix of vintage glamour and opulent design with plush fabrics and includes its own private bar.

THE BREDS FOUNDATON

Breds, The Treasure Beach Foundation was established as a non-profit organization in 1998 by Peace Corps volunteer Aaron Laufer and hotelier Jason Henzell. The organization was started with the purpose of addressing the specific needs within Treasure Beach, while also providing a mutually beneficial connection between the tourism sector and the community - a relationship that in many ways has come to define Treasure Beach. With over a decade's worth of service to the community of Treasure Beach, Breds now looks to continue its fundraising beyond the regional tourism base, and has turned to social enterprise organizations, foundations and development institutions to assist Breds in creating a long term sustainability plan for the community.
