Description

A team of presenters will give you board-specific guidance to assist you leading students to success. The day includes:

  • Specification-centered content from experienced presenters
  • Strategies for success with evaluative questions (30 mark question for Edexcel and part (b) questions for Eduqas).
  • Take away resources including student handouts, lesson plans and SAMs

Topics include: Meta Ethics/Ethical Language, Religious/Philosophical Language, Challenges from Atheism, Virtue Ethics, Ethical Egoism, Divine Command Theory, Utilitarianism, Situation Ethics and Strategies for Exam Success.

9.00 registration and coffee with sessions from 9.30 to 4pm.

Presenters:

Gregory A. Barker, PhD is a visiting fellow at the University of Winchester, a textbook author, a CPD presenter for teachers and revision event leader for schools across the United Kingdom. See www.gregbarker.education

Peter Baron is an experienced teacher, author and trainer and principal author of peped.org, an online learning resource for religious studies. He has an MA in Philosophy from Oxford University and an MLitt in Hermeneutics from Newcastle.

Clare Lloyd is a teacher of philosophy, ethics and religious studies with 18-years’ experience in the classroom. She has also spent many years as an A-level examiner and produces resources for teachers and students. See www.philosophyninja.co.uk
