Description

'Philosophy Bakes No Bread' is a free evening of philosophical talks and interactive discussions that asks: 'What's the Point of Philosophy?'

The evening features three short talks by philosophers, and invites the audience to reflect on and challenge their conclusions through discussion facilitated by Grace Lockrobin and Elizabeth Watkins from Thinking Space. With talks by:

- Dr. Joe Saunders, University of Leeds
Selves and systems: the value of the History of Philosophy

- Dr. Mary Leng, University of York
The low impact of the philosophy of mathematics

- Prof. Aaron Meskin, University of Leeds
Foodies, Gluttony, and why philosophers are so concerned with chow

Philosophy fans and first-timers over the age of 16 are very welcome. Please join us from drinks and finger food from 6.15pm.
