Philosophy in the Pub - Sheffield
Event Information
About this event
Sheffield Philosophy in Pubs is a regular open session at the Millowners Arms in Kelham Island Museum. You'll be able share your opinions and learn from others - the more different views there are, the more there is to think about.
The session uses a structured but flexible process to enable the group to use their creative, critical, collaborative and caring thinking to make and explore big questions. We start from a stimulus - could be a video, picture, text or object - and take it from there. All are welcome - come ready to listen as well as speak.
Using exercises to get your creative and critical thoughts flowing, as well opportunities for reflection, the session is led by an experienced facilitator with a lively and engaging style.
From the punters:
"I love coming to ‘Philosophy Not in the Pub’ because even though I haven't met most of the participants in person, it feels like having a deep and meaningful conversation with friends. It is also a lot of fun." (from Philosophy Not in the Pub - online meetings).
"Mind-blowing!"
No experience required. This is a free session.
