Opportunities have arisen for enthusiastic people with a caring and friendly nature to join the Phlebotomy Team on a part-time basis at the The Princess Royal Hospital and The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital/ working on Wards Outpatients and at GP Practices in the local area. We have one part-time position available - 20 hours per week to be worked over 5 days per week including weekends and bank holiday at The Princess Royal Hospital and 3 part time positions – 16 hours per week including weekends and bank holiday at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital to be worked over 5 days per week. As a phlebotomist you will deliver excellent care to our patients and will ensure that they have a great experience. We want to employ passionate and self-motivated individuals who have a caring approach and attitude. You will have well developed communication and observation skills and enjoy working as part of a team to provide excellent care in a challenging environment. The successful candidates should have excellent communication skills, be able to work under pressure, have an approachable nature, the ability to fulfil the travel requirements, clear handwriting and the ability to record data accurately. Full and extensive departmental training will be given. Shifts will vary according to service needs so flexibility is important. We operate over seven days per week and cover bank holidays. We would like to take the opportunity to meet with all interested applicants and give you the opportunity to come and meet us. We will be holding information sessions so that we can tell you more about the role, our values and expectations, what you can expect from us and the opportunity to meet some of the team. We will also use that day as an opportunity to assess your ability to fulfil the role of a Phlebotomist. To find out further with regards to the role prior to the Information Day we are arranging informal visits to the department. If you are interested in an informal visit, please contact Laura Westcott firstname.lastname@example.org to book a time and date.
