Curriculum for Wales & Monster Phonics - a good fit?
Recent WG guidance for Curriculum for Wales (LLC AoLE) gives schools further clarity on phonological awareness and systematic phonics, as proven strategies for developing essential reading skills. It states that specific consideration should be given by schools on the provision of systematic development of phonological and phoneme awareness. It explains that all schools should put in place a clear procedure for and place emphasis on learners’ phonological and phoneme awareness.
