Question 1

How long will we have on the island? Can I take a later boat back?

Accepted Answer

You will have four and a half hours on the island. This will allow ample time to take a variety of pictures as well as learn new techniques and time to practice them on the day. We will be getting the first boat crossing to ensure the best positions. All return boat departures are fixed.

Question 2

What loans will you have on the day?

Accepted Answer

We will send everyone a list of what will available on the day, everything will be on a first come basis so if there is something you want to try on the day, make sure you reserve it before the actual trip.

Question 3

What should I bring on the day and what should I wear?

We will send everyone additional information covering this and more prior to your day.

Question 4

If I change my mind. Can I get a full refund?

Accepted Answer

A full refund will only be possible if someone takes your place as the boat and landing fees of £45 are non-refundable. This is the boat operators policy.

Question 5

Do I need to bring a packed lunch or can I get something on the island? What about toilets?

Accepted Answer

To maximise your time on the island, bring a packed lunch with you. There are very few facilities on the island. There are no cafes or restaurants. There are compost toilets about 1/2 miles from the landing jetty on the island.

What happens if the boat crossing cancelled?

Accepted Answer

In the unlikelihood of a boat cancellation. We will offer a full refund or another day in June if there are spaces. Unfortunately any transport or accommodation already booked with not be covered. We recommend taking out travel insurance to cover you.

Question 7

Can I bring a friend or partner to this workshop? They are not photographers.

Accepted Answer

Yes. Friends and partners are welcome to join but the admission fee must still be paid in full even if they don't take pictures. We cannot accommodate any extra guests in our groups as some of the locations are quite restrictive. We also need to be fair to the rest of the group.

I have some mobility issues. Can I still attend this workshop?

Question 9

How many photographers will be on my group?

Accepted Answer

There will be a max of 7-8 photographers per group. With your professional wildlife photographer guide and Canon product specialist, this number allows for plenty of interaction, support and guidance.
