Join the Sherbourne Valley Project team and local wildlife photographer Les for a walk around the grounds of Charterhouse for National Photography week. Les will show you some tips for getting the best wildlife shots and some of the best spots for bird photography in the grounds.

It is worth noting however, that almost all of our events are in public spaces and we cannot control members of the public who may want to take photos.

Where do I park?

Charterhouse car park . You only get 1 hour free parking .Its a large car park available for Charterhouse visitors just off London Road (A4114) Sat Nav destination: CV1 2JR Pay using the RingGo app location 33643 Up to 1 hour FREE Up to 2 hours £2.20 Up to 3 hours £3.20

Nearest public transport?

By bus You can jump on the X18 (Stagecoach bus) to Stratford from Stop TS2 near Sainsbury’s in Coventry city centre, arriving on London Road right by the entrance to Charterhouse (nearest stop – Acacia Avenue) in just 10 minutes. The X18 runs every 30 minutes. Alternatively, you can catch the 3

Do I have to stay for the whole time?

No, feel free to to leave the walk at anytime just make sure you let the leader know before you leave

What refreshments will be provided?

Not this time but you are more than welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks

Where are the nearest toilets?

Unfortunately we don't have access to the building at Charterhouse so the nearest toilets are about a 10 min walk or a couple min drive to either The Royal Oak pub or Asda supermarket .

What do I need to wear / bring with me?

Comfortable clothes and shoes that are suitable for the current weather.

Is there a space I can use for prayer / meditation or if i find myself overstimulated .

This is an outdoor only event however we would be happy to find a quiet area to suit your needs. Please feel free to contact us to discuss .

What's the terrain like is it suitable for a wheelchair or pushchair. Is there any shelter ?

Consider the weather on the day. The ground can be uneven but there is a pathway suitable for the grounds just outside charterhouse.
