Are you interested in Street Art: would you like to take some Street/Street Art photos in and around Shoreditch?
If the answer is "yes", join Susi Luard ARPS, who happens to be a local street artist in Shoreditch. As those of you who are familiar with the area will know, Shoreditch has different genres of street art from murals to paste ups and Susi can talk about it as we walk along.
Susi writes: From where we meet at Espaccio Gallery we'll walk along Redchurch Street then back towards Sclater Street heading towards Brick Lane. We'll pass Monty's Bar which is famous as a place where street artists often gather then walk along Brick Lane visiting side roads off Brick Lane where there are paste ups and stencils. There will be murals along Brick Lane itself and the largest murals are in Allen Gardens where the Overground railway passes through. Past the Mosque is the Seven Stars Yard alley where there is a concentration of paste ups, stencils and paintings. You may even come across a few of Susi's artworks during the walk!
Along the way you'll have a chance to take pictures of architecture and for those who love street photography there may be opportunities to take pictures of people with street art as backdrop. At the end of the walk, at 47 Brick Lane there is Brick Lane Coffee House which has a large choice of coffee and tea and food too.
Be sure to make time to visit the RPS London Region Members' Exhibition at the Espacio Gallery while you are there.
