Steve Winter is a regular attendee at the PHP Hampshire meetups, so we're proud to be putting on another new speaker on our stage. Steve works for Matatiro Solutions, a web consultancy firm specialising in FileMaker, PHP, MySQL, jQuery and Drupal.
PHP application monitoring with New Relic
Debugging code on your development machine is one thing, but how can you track the operation and performance of your application once it's on a production server? New Relic provides mechanisms to profile performance, log error reporting, including full stack traces, view real load times in real user browsers, and 101 other things to help you improve the quality of your application and your user's experience.
During the session we'll take a look at how to implement New Relic, the types of data and metrics which are available, and how deployment markers can help detect issues in newly released code before your users do.
Disclaimer: I don't work for New Relic and have no association with them (other than I pay them every month for their service), I just happen to really like their product and think it's incredibly useful.
