PhysCap Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge 2017
Sat 9 September 2017, 06:00 – 20:00 BST
Covering 24 miles and 5,000 feet of climbing, you'll be faced with rocky terrain, steep climbs and uneven surfaces.
The first peak, Pen-y-Ghent (694m/2277ft), provides great views of the peaks to come. As you walk towards Whernside (736m/2415ft), you'll take in the grandeur of Ribblehead Viaduct and then onto Ingleborough (723m 2372ft) for your final ascent.
The aim will be for everyone to complete the challenge within 12 hours but we will have several groups so that participants can walk at a comfortable pace for them. We will be raising money for our wonderful charity PhysCap who provide much needed help to physically and mentally disabled children in the Yorkshire area.
Your entry fee covers the cost of organising the event, but it's the money you raise that powers our life saving research, so we ask our heart trekkers to set themselves a target of around £250.
